Food Delivery Application
Development of a comprehensive food delivery mobile application connecting customers with restaurants, featuring live order tracking and complete delivery operations management.
Challenge
The restaurant chain relied entirely on third-party delivery apps that charged commissions of up to 30% per order, significantly impacting profit margins. The chain had no direct channel to communicate with its customers or build a customer database to run effective loyalty programs. Managing orders from multiple external platforms was exhausting and confusing for staff, leading to frequent order preparation errors. The chain needed its own application to gain full control over the customer experience and data while reducing delivery costs.
Solution
We developed a mobile application using Flutter that runs on both iOS and Android from a single codebase, featuring an attractive and user-friendly design that reflects the brand identity. The backend was built using Node.js with a MongoDB database to flexibly manage menus, orders, and customers. We added live order tracking via Google Maps API with instant notifications through Firebase to keep customers informed about their order status at every stage. The app includes an integrated loyalty system, ratings system, and smart discount coupons, along with a comprehensive restaurant management dashboard displaying real-time sales and performance analytics.
